Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 September 2026
My Baseball Stats ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through mybaseballstats.online and our associated application (together, the "Service"), how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details — name, email address, password (stored encrypted), and, where applicable, parent/guardian contact details for a minor's account.
- Profile and player information — team affiliations, roles (player, parent/guardian, coach, Scoring Delegate), and Family Membership links.
- Statistics data — batting results and other performance data you, or someone you've authorised as a Scoring Delegate, enter for a fixture.
- Billing information — processed by our third-party payment processor; we receive confirmation of payment and limited billing details, but we do not store your full card number.
- Communications — messages you send us for support or inquiries.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and log data, such as pages viewed, features used, IP address, device and browser type, and access times.
- Cookies and similar technologies, used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.
Information from other users
If someone adds you to a team, invites you to a Virtual Team, or is authorised as your Scoring Delegate, they may submit information about you (such as fixture results or at-bat data) as part of using the Service.
2. Children's Privacy
My Baseball Stats is designed to be used by players of all ages, including children, but every account for a child under 13 must be created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 13 except where a parent or guardian has created the account and provided or approved that information on the child's behalf.
- We do not knowingly show targeted or behavioural advertising to children, and we do not sell children's personal information.
- A parent or guardian can review, correct, export, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting customer.service@mybaseballstats.online, or by managing the linked profile directly in the account.
- If we become aware that a child under 13 has created or is operating an account without appropriate parental involvement, we will take reasonable steps to disable the account and delete the associated personal information, except where retention is required by law.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- create and operate your account, dashboards, and team/fixture features;
- enable Virtual Teams, Scoring Delegates, and Family Membership;
- process payments and manage your subscription;
- respond to support requests and communicate important account or service updates;
- maintain the security and integrity of the Service, including detecting fraud or misuse;
- understand how the Service is used so we can maintain and improve it; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
Where required by law, we rely on your consent, the necessity of processing to provide the Service under our agreement with you, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, as the basis for this use.
4. No Sale of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. How We Share Information
We only share personal information in the following circumstances:
- With your direction — for example, when you join a team, accept a Virtual Team invitation, or authorise a Scoring Delegate, the relevant information becomes visible to those you've connected with.
- Service providers — companies that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, payment processing, analytics, and customer support tools, under confidentiality and data-protection obligations, and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.
- Legal and safety reasons — where required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of My Baseball Stats, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a policy at least as protective.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted passwords, HTTPS encryption for data in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it for longer (for example, billing records).
8. Your Rights & Choices
- You can access, update, export, or delete most of your information directly from your account settings, or by contacting us at customer.service@mybaseballstats.online.
- You can opt out of non-essential communications (such as product updates) at any time; we may still send essential service and billing messages.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law — for example, rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, or to object to certain processing, under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, or U.S. state privacy laws. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below; we will respond in line with applicable law.
9. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, remembering preferences, and understanding usage of the Service. You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings; some features of the Service may not work properly if you do.
10. International Data Transfers
My Baseball Stats is based in Australia, and information we collect may be stored or processed in Australia or in other countries where our service providers operate. Where we transfer personal information internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure it continues to receive an appropriate level of protection.
11. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as our YouTube channel. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. We'll post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and where changes are material we'll provide additional notice before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
13. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, please contact us at customer.service@mybaseballstats.online.
